Dealer just hosed you dude. Did you get a reach around or even a kiss after? Thank you for stimulating the economy.

Nobody mentioned that with nitrogen, no oxidation of the rubber on the tire inside can occur. Valve stems last longer too. No air means no water...no water means no rusting inside steel wheels, no corroding of aluminum wheels either.

Hey KING, where did you get the compressed unicorn farts? Did a search can't find it anywhere. Maybe I'll see if my dealer carries it.

Oxidisation of the rubber inside the tyre is bad, but the oxidation of the rubber outside is fine??

How do valve stems last longer?? Arent they about $3 for a set anyhow?

I have a 74 Cadillac and I watched when she got new boots. There was a lot more corrosion on the outside of the rim where the paint had flaked than the inside.

On the other hand i have lost count of the number of times I have switched on the news and seen a story about how some guy had his rims rust out on him going down the freeway at 85mph.

i'm an a&p and work for a major airline, we use nitrogen in aircraft tires because it's dry. oxigen is naturaly corosive, the temprature/psi and weight loads on large volume tires is a little more critical, but for your bike it seems a little pricey, but the bright side is your alluminum wheels wont corode from the inside out

It's a hell of a deal if you're planning on riding at 39,000 ft. Air works just fine at any altitude under 10,000.

Oxidation on the outside of the tire can't be prevented, and I could care less what the hell you believe, wheels do rust on the inside.
I have had two valve stems on my Escalade fail in the last six months. I wonder why? Probably some cheap Chinese $hit.
