Cover bike or not???
Lately, I've been riding to work daily, rain or shine.
A friend, who has owned Harleys alot longer than I have, suggested that I cover my bike in the parking lot because the rain is bad for the electrics on the bike.
Are these bikes fragile in the rain? Is it necessary to cover the bike?
Its been rained on several times in the last couple months and I haven't had a problem yet. Should I be expecting a problem because of this?

I cover mine at work mainly cause our truck yard is gravel and there is always dust stirring around. Three of my co-workers also cover thier bikes, if it wasnt for all the dust I would probably only use a half cover just to protect it from the sun. If you do cover your bagger, you might throw some towels over the bags and maybe even on the tank cause those "expensive" Harley covers only have the soft lining for the windsheild, and if it gets windy the cover will mar your paint finish to some degree.

I would more concerned with salt air than rain but corrosion is inevitable in humid conditions so anything you can do to keep it dryer would be a plus.
Check your 'open' connections like the ground from your battery to frame and on the battery as well. Check your lights often. Dielectric grease is your friend.
