I put slip ons on my 07 SG at about 500 miles and have made no other changes. I now have over 35,000 miles on her and no problems whatsoever. Just do it!

I think your dealer is trying to make a few extra bucks. Put them on and run them for 4 to 500 miles. Pull the plugs and see what they look like. If they are snow white then you're too lean and need to have a sert done - if they're a nice toasty brown like they should be then just ride and forget it !!

I would definatly add a stage one kit with either a fuel manager system ot power commander V. All Harleys run lean from the factory already, with that said, adding slip ons will encrease your problems (hot engine). My recommendation is get yourself a power commander, stage one kit and rush exhuast pipes 2.25. You can order this package deal for $700.00 from Fuel Moto USA. Heres the link www.fuelmotousa.com

No wonder my scoot has never seen the dealers service dept. How can a dealer dispense info like this with a straight face. I know they are all about making a buck but come on give a guy a straight answer to a simple question. Jesus this pisses me offf when dealers spout crap like this.

Just changing out the slipons does nothing that need a remap. The dealer is clueless.

Well is no way I would put Monster Ovals on without increasing the Intake to match the size of the Exhaust ...

I wish people would take 30 seconds to put their location in their profile so we could at least make a guess at which dealer is so clueless.

It's easy, it really is, and helpful when folks say things like "around here".
