Default Shock Air PSI

I noticed lately when riding two up that we seem to feel the bumps a little more. What do some of you with air shocks on a FLHTCU adjust the air pressure too ?

I put 15 lbs in my EGC shocks. The ride seems to be just right. I'm 178 lbs and my wife is about 150. If we carry alot of gear I might bring it up to 18 or 20 lbs. That's for 2-up riding. If I ride solo 10 lbs should be just fine.

I run 15 to 18 loaded down with gear and the wife. Now that I bought the wife her own scoot I run mine around 10 on the interstate and 12 on the back roads. Also don't overlook tire pressure, keep it between 36 & 40 cold. I know it's a firm rating but it sure handles sweet and those recommended pressures.

I'm 185 and I run mine at 18 lbs. solo. I have the rear dropped 1-1/4 inches. I get a good ride with no bottoming out.

Just in case anyone in this thread doesnt know you should NEVER use conventional air line to add air to your shocks! It can and WILL blow out the shocks. Invest the $ and get that cute little pump with the built in gauge. It is really handy and small enough to just leave in the saddle bag all the time.
