How loud?

RE: How loud?
I don't know that much about exhaust systems, but I wanted something that would give me the Harley Sound. My dealer recommended the SE2's with slashdowns. When I fired them up, I was very happy with them and they definitley turn some heads where I live. Not to loud to annoy the neighors, but loud enough to be heard when working the throttle. Just my 2cts

RE: How loud?
I also went with the SEII as part of a Stage 1 upgrade. They were recommended by the dealer who also has a race team and dyno tunes. He said they have had great results with those pipes.
I am very happy with both the sound and the performance. Like Ted said, they are a nice rumble at idle and while cruising, but when you twist the grip - brrrrrraaaappppppp!!!
The Reinhart's are also a nice pipe and many here swear by them. I have heard them and I would go with them in an instant if I was replacing the entire system.
The V&H pipes are also nice. IMO, they are loud, but have a bit of a tinny sound to them which I don't care for. Remember, everyone's tastes are different so you really should try and hear all of the options before you choose.
I don't want to clutter this thread up with a picture, so HERE'S a link to a pic of the SEII's installed on my 05 RKC.
Good luck.
