How many people wear a helmet when they ride?

 

100% here, been called a hard head but, I don't think that will carry much weight when the head hits the road.

 

Not as often as I should. I definitely support a helmet law (Currently no law in Illinois) because it will force me to wear one 100% of the time. Shame on me for not wearing it !!

 

NC requires helmit so it's not like I have a choice. Started riding in SC which is still a matter of choice. I have always worn a shorty helmit. Never liked a full one due to lack of vision, impaired hearing, heat, etc. If I did have a choice, I don't think I would wear one. I know all the arguments, but I still feel more aware with out one.

 

Here in NJ the law requires it. So I have always worn one. I cannot imagine not wearing a helmet. It's simple. Head hits road, head breaks.

 

Missouri here, about twice a year ride over into IL and ride a little while without the helmet.

 

I always wear a 3/4 helmet. I have no problems with impaired hearing or limited peripheral vision. I was glad I was wearing one when a car turned left in front of me and I went sailing over it and landed on my back. Helmet was toast, my head was well protected. Can't see any excuse for not wearing one, but I do support individual choice.

I wear a 1/2 helmet 98% of the time - I know there are arguments that 1/2 is as good as none but that is what I choose - I have gone over the bars before and landed square on the top of my head with a helmet on, back caught hell as the shirt I had on didn't do much for protection.

We are a choice state in SC but with so many going down (including ****** who just tested his full face out) a helmet just makes since, it's not necessarily the rider, but the cager... either way, Rider loses

 

NJ has the law, so I wear 100% of the time. But it doesn't matter to me, as I will wear one anyway.
It even hits closer to home when you read of ******'s accident, in which he hit head first, but no head damage because of his full face
