if you're over 6 feet tall like me, you'll likely hate it. my stock streetglide seat went back on it after a 200 mile ride. then i got a roadglide seat, and i'm ridin and a glidin now. absolutely the best factory seat harley makes in my opinion. not the 2010 ones, as they are a streetglide seat. and streetglide seats are great for short people. a nut crusher for the rest of us. they're sorta like the stock sg windshield, they both look great on the showroom floor, but once you get on the road, you end up saying, what the hell?

I just put a Sundowner on my '08 Road Glide and it seems to be more comfortable than my old Mustang Regal Touring Seat. The "pocket" seems to be a bit more generous than the Mustang, and the padding is softer. It puts me at about the same height as the Mustang and seems to put me a half inch further back. I don't think it's as attractive as the Mustang, but overall a better choice for me.

I had no problem with the stock RKC seat but the bitch pad is better on the SD. That is why I bought it. It is synthetic and I think the stock is leather so your *** will sweat more on the SD. I've logged 500 mile days w/o a problem tho. Good luck.

I've had 2 Mustangs. The touring seat was comfy but sat me up way to high. The solo was the right seating position, but was not comfy for me. The sundowner is the best for me. It has the lowest seating position of them all and is the most comfortable of the three. I'm 5'11"/205.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to call the dealer to see if they have one in stock.

I put one on my 08 EGC this winter, did 3,000-mile trip in May and really liked it much better than stock. BUT>>>> my wife hates it. Says it's too hard. So, I've put the stock seat back on for now and will probably send the Sundowner off to MCC for some passenger seat re-work this winter. YMMV

Default Sundowner

A big for the sundowner seat.. recently spent 9 days and 3875 miles in it, and it was GREAT.... plus lowered me a little on the 09....
