they are guaranteed to work until they stop working or fall off. Whichever comes first.

Ya sort of.
I had a pice of paer showing me the terms of the warranty on the MP3 player.
I had a service manger telling me the warranty wasn't what I thought on the radio, which I had no paper work on.
It took some time, but I was able to convince him I was right. I was looking for more confirmaton from people that had facts, here on the forums.
In the end it's all good, except for the fact that the radio isn't working properly!

If I read your original post correctly... this was a repo bike, and you purchased it from the bank? I'd think any warranty would be with the original purchaser of said accessory item(s), which would be the bank.

Most warranties are non-transferrable,(as pertaining to accessory sales, installation) so it would seem that there would be no warranty to the new owner (in this case you).

Of course, you can fight with the dealer to get some measure of warranty service (sounds like you're doing that already), hope it works out for you.

No the bank paid to have the stereo put in for the next owner.
I'm not thinking the warrant on my 08' chevy pickup would expire if I sell it.
In any case, there is a warranty on the replacement stereo, it is for one year from the instal date. No need to fight with them.
