Default AMS 105 Big Bore Kit

Anyone done the AMS 105 kit to a 96 motor? I have heard great things about these guys but nothing about the 105 upgrade.http://www.automotivemachine.com/

I live down the street from these guys. They have a really nice setup, their stuff looks really nice. They have had a few write ups in some of the magazines. Give them a call, they are busy but seem like good people.

I'm doing their kit this fall. I just can't decide if I want to do their heads or let Bean at BigBoyz do them. On the one hand, AMS does CNC porting and 5 angle valve jobs, and I think they said they install a larger intake valve along with it. I'm just a little concerned about getting larger valves and ports and losing that low end torque. I couldn't care less about power @ 5000 rpm. I want torque to peak between 2500 and 3500. That's where I think Bean's head work might have an edge. I'm going to call them again and ask some more questions about the heads. I'd prefer to get everything from one shop, but I don't want to waste the money if I'm not going to be happy either.

Anyway, I talked to Eric (the machinist) for 30 minutes a few months ago. SS is right, give them a call. They are very willing to talk and answer any questions you may have. I can't wait to tear into mine.

"I'm doing their kit this fall. "I would like to hear from someone that has installed their stuff and what issues they had before I install. Like you I don't care about 5K rpm power I want the lower RPM power also.

Can't vouch for the 105 but I put a 96 kit on my 05 ultra, heads and cylinders, and it dyno'd at 93hp and 107tq with woods tw-6 cams. It ran great and no problems.

Anyone have comments on the AMS 105 kit and head work with cam
They are fairly local to me and seem to get good words but can't find many people who have feedback o their 105.
