Default Vinyl lowers? Any good.

Anydody use these? Are they any good? Any particular brand to get? I know others make em, not just Harley. Don't feel the need for fairing lowers, just want something to help ,me extend my riding season here in mid Ohio. It's already getting cold at night. thanx.

I have the Cordura HD ones. I'm certain they will last longer than vinyl. At any rate, I sure like 'em when the temp drops.

+1 on the cordura HD soft lowers. They are well made, and can be clipped into place in about 1 minute per side. I keep them rolled up in the saddle bags. They take up very little room. I live in Tenn, so we ride year round. However, it does get cold, for us anyway, during Jan. & Feb. They go on when it gets around 45 or less. Also, I throw them on when it rains. Helps keep me dry.

I have the vinal ones and they snap on pretty quick. They work great for me down in the upper 30's. Really cuts down on the cold air that gets to you. If this is something you might want to keep on year round, look at Desert Dawgs soft lowers as the HD ones have temp restriction of 50 degress or less.

i've got the vinyl ones, throw them on when the weather gets nasty. don't really like the look of lowers so these serve the purpose for the days when it's ugly out.....

I got some cheap ones off of ebay for about 15 bucks. They weren't the greatest quality, but they looked ok and they worked. I used them for a couple of years until I purchased a set of permanent lowers. It was great to have them when the weather sucked.

I also bought the vinyl ones this year...love them. Easy on and easy off. I recently took them off during a ride this past week. All I can say is WOW..what a difference when they are off. Air was running right up my legs. These can easily add a month to riding season on both ends (spring and fall). They install in about 1 minute and come off just as easy. I would recommend them to anyone

I got a set of leather ones from Chilhowee, I use them when it's cold and wet mainly to keep my feet dry longer. Before I switched to a FF helmet I found they pushed rain right into my face and under my glasses...
