Isn't there a way to fix or repair the part of the lock thats loose & buzzing? Or has it done this since new? B.

So, with this latch do you have a locking gas cap. Otherwise someone could really mess your bike up. Just curious.

Bad news for ya bud but "any Barrel Key will open your lock".
It doesn't even have to be a Harley brand of barrel key.

I put a clear cabinet drawer bumper under my lid and it stoped it from buzzing.

Where is it placed under the lid......

Also, the lid does not vibrate, it's the button itself that buzzes...There's no way to tighten it either...Another fine overseas product....

I did not know that, thanks. Now, I will will think about what kind of modification I can come up with.

You could take it to a locksmith and have him match your ignition and saddlebag keys.
But locksmithing barrel keys are a pain, according to my locksmiths.

Great timing. I installed the push button type and it started buzzing after about 2000 miles. Its driving me nuts. Mine seems to be at the hinge/spring end, but I could be wrong. I'll try some of the fixes suggested here and see what happens. I love this site for just these sorts of things.
