Here's what you do

Sell the bike, Buy the house, wait 3 months and tell the bank you can't pay the morg.

With all the Tarp, bailout,, they say "OK" give you a lower interest rate and payment.

BINGO...money left over for the new bike.... doesn't get any simpler than that

I sell video and late night TV adds..for 19.95 too

Buy the house. Prices are good. Interest rates are really good. You have time on ur side.

Localprez, where in WI are you? I'm on the job in Southington CT, Local 2033. Smaller combo department, we only have one career engine and a ladder/rescue crew but its a good job.

In the process of looking at houses now......................trying to make a responsible decision sucks.

Thats the ticket!
In 93, after my first divorce, I faced the same decision - bike or down payment on a house.
Common sense ruled and I went with a house.
2nd wife came along and a 2nd divorce and gone was the house. I was wishin I had went for the bike, hindsight being 20/20.
Seriously, this is a great time to buy a house IF you have job stability (does anybody nowadays?) and IF you plan on keeping it for several years. Where I live, people can't sell without losing their ***'s right now.

buy the bike. I just had to re-roof one of my houses. In time they will own you, instead of the other way around. Get a bike and a back pack and get going. Don't stop or you will be sorry. Adulthood is for fools. Buy a good tent. learn how to say you will be back soon. run run run.

Buy the house amd get a good used bike from one of the pansies that bought it and either wife is making them sell it, or they ride 50 miles a year and bitch about their candy asses hurting, or can't make a uturn on a 6 line hiway. With the economy the way it is, lots of bikes out there cheap! Detroit Harley is buying bikes up for trade in at 2500-3500 bucks so you should be able to find a decent bike for $5-6K from a private owner. My buddy has a 95 heritage with low miles and lot's of add on's he's askin $7k for, he has a bad back and everytime he get's on it, it whacks him out of shape! LOL
