You may be suprised, with interest rates as low as they are you may be able to have a lesser payment owning than you do renting. If thats the case then problems solved, you just do both! Good luck!

If I were your age, and had income to support this question, I would buy a small house cheap and never sell it. Buy another house that's better later, and rent the old house. Repeat said steps as often as necessary.

After you get the first affordable house, and you're ready to get the new bike, don't. By a used one instead for 1/2 off. Repeat as necessary.

Just sayin, you could be in a great financial position in 10 yrs, let alone 30, 50 yrs, w/ those types of habits, have a lot of property and some nice rides along the way.

Wish I would have been that smart.

You can sleep in an airplane, but you can't fly a house.

Forget about the house. You can ride your SG all day. Sleep next to it under a bridge. Eat out of your helmet. Shittt in a hubcap. Fight off the bandits with a stick. And maybe meet yourself a nice hobo lady friend.

If that doesn't sound appealing. Buy the house.

Don't agree. Had many houses, & wives come and go, but the bike is your buddy. Get the bike.

Going to bank on Thursday with all the paperwork to see what I could get approved for. Figure I can ride the hell out of the 883 for another two or three years, than its time for the Classic. If I can get into a house before this tax credit thing ends I am going to.

That's the smart decision. I missed the $8,000 tax incentive by one day 'cos I closed on my house on new years eve....thanks Obama!!!!
