True... You probably need at 820 credit score for that 1% deal. The loans are so difficult to get now

 

unless the 1% rate is thru hd it is a bought down interest rate and is another form of dealer discount still a great deal but no discount with the special rate good marketing on the dealers part it does not cost much to buy down the interest rate depending on term andcamount financed 36 months on 15000 cost them around $1000 to buy down not that big of a savings but still cool

 

I got mine at 1% two weeks ago at Pikes Peak HD in Colorado Springs. They had a big promotion to push out the 2009 models and I ended up saving about 3 grand compared to a regular interest rate (I think the finance guy said you needed a score of 700 to qualify). The financing is through HD "eaglemark". They also offered 20 percent on parts and installation, so I did stage one with a dyno tune too, love this road king!!!

 

Just got back from my dealer.

Three or four 10's, about a 30 09's, 8 of 'em Sporty's. No Fat Boys, 1 Rocker, 2 XBones, 4 Dyna's, 3 Deluxe, 2 Heritage, 1 EGlide, 4 Kings, 1 SGlide, 3 UC's. Sales said nothing left crated in the back, it's all on the floor. Except for a couple of bikes they've had since spring, they haven't added any extra's on any of them.

Probably won't be any special's here.

 

This isn't new at all. A couple years ago, a buddy of mine bought his '07 FXDWG at 0% interest for 60 months. These promotions come and go over the years.

 

I called our local Harley dealership today at lunch and their financial officer said Eaglemark does not have that interest rate available. Their interest rate was mid 7s for 60 months depending on credit score.

So if you get an 09 at 1% will that then make you a 1%er,

 

Maybe the government can put some pressure on HD so that the less fortunate could get a low interest rate on the Harley of their choice. Owning a Harley is a right. That should work out swell. It did wonders for the housing market.


Who "Needs" a 1% rate?

 

So I wonder who our local dealer is getting loans from if it is not Eaglemark? What they quoted you was about the range when I was buying mine.
