Default Have a Question about Dyna beads use?

Hi, I recieved my beads today and got ready to Install them and In the brochure it says you will not need tire weights, Then should I remove the weights that are already on the rim or just leave them alone? FYI, I have an 07 SG with stock rims. Thanks ahead, Todd

Remove them.
Let the beads do the balancing.

As NoKenDo says, you remove the wheel weights and let the Dyna Beads do their thing. The installation should be 2 oz. in the rear tire and 1 oz. in the front. Just did mine a few weeks ago and I will never have any weights on my rims again.

Here is a link to a Dyna Beads thread that I posted a few weeks ago.

According to the instructions you need to remove them... make sure you add the right amount per the instructions or the website. More won't hurt from what I have read, but make sure you start off with the correct amounts.

Also if your running a tube tire and it has been on for a while you might want to change that... something about the gumming residue building up inside causes the beads less freedom to move around.

Believe it or not, you can leave the weights attached.....providing you have enuff dyna beads installed.

Please remember that dyna beads are a constant and dynamic means of balancing providing you install enuff.

Please also remember that you can never have too many, but you can have too little....so feel free to install 2-4 oz in your front wheel and leave the weights attached or removed.

The ONE thing dyna bead will never tell you is that you CANNOT run a tire sealant goop along with dyna beads.

You have a choice...either you run dyna beads or you run tire sealant.

When dyna beads are inserted into a dry tire with or with out tube, the beads will instantly work to solve an out of balance condition...if there are enuff beads, then the tire will balance itself....if there are too many beads, then they will simply distribute themself into a balanced condition, but too little will leave the tire lacking balance......if the beads are gooped up into a lump due to tire sealant goop, then the tire will bounce and wobble.

You have a choice with dyna beads....you either go for balance or you go for seal...you can't have both.

One other thing. I always let the tire changer know about the beads when changing tires. You don't want him to have a face full of beads or beads all over the shop floor.

Yep, those tiny beads are like walking on ice. They are super hard and will not crunch underfoot, but Will send you sliding!
