I tried powder coating once. I guess I got a bad painter/powder coater.
It turned out with an orange peal look to the finish. Kinda turned me off powder coating.
I didn't know they could screw up podwer coating. LOL
I hope your's works out for ya though.

Yeah, it really depends on the powder coater. I have sent stuff back to be re-done due to excessive orange peel....I guess from too many mils of powder? Don't really know.
Powder coating is great until it gets chipped or cut. I prefer it over paint on all but tins.

HD powdercoated front end on mine...I had the passing lights locally powdercoated. Both have held up well for the last 2 1/2 years...10,000 miles.

I was looking to get my wheels black chromed and the chromer told me that most people that get black chrome come back in 3-5 years and get them rechromed in standard chrome because they fade.
