Default RK. No Speedo, brake lights or turn sigs

I Went for a ride today and right off noticed the speedometer was not working. Also no turn signals or the brake lights. So I puckered up and made my way home. Am I looking for a blown fuse or something I should take to the stealer for warranty work? Should I remove my DFO before the Stealer looks at it?

says....

First 2 things I'd check it the Speedo Sensor on top of the tranny. They are notorious for going bad. Then the wiring connections under the speedo housing.....

NO.........the first thing you should check are the fuses. The one you want is on the end.....at least that will save you from looking at them all. Been there.

I'd bet the speedo sensor to. My roadking did the same thing.

Easy to check both speedo and the fuses.

The question I have is... what blew the fuse... those are tough little guys and why is as important as what.

Thanks Guys,
I'll check out the fuses tomorrow. How do I check the Speedo Sensor? Just by replacing it? Would it be covered by warranty?

I'd vote for Speedo Sensor. Sometimes a person can get lucky and pull the unit and clean off the shavings and get it to work for a while....but it normally fails a short time after so you might be better off just biting the bullet and installing a new one. I'd also check with the dealer and see if they will cover it under warranty....you don't know until you ask!

says....

It's an inexpensive part, under 30 bucks....can't remember what I paid for the last one, but sure it was a over 20bucks. Went thru 4 of them in 2 years, the last one has lasted a little over a year now. Don't know if its a warranty item or not, the dealer can answer that one better.
To check it, is to see if the connection is good. Its held in place by a single bolt/screw.....
