Check out some of the jackets from the top lines, Tourmaster, Cortech, Fielfdsheer. I just got a Cortech for my girl in pink/white. It is a mesh outer with two liners, a light liner to block the wind on cool days and a quilted liner for cold days. Comes with CE armour in the elbows, shoulders and back. Now she is very visable, comfortable, SAFE and we can pack light with just the two liners to cover 90% of riding weather conditions.

She is not going to be doing any acrobatics while wearing her jacket so go for the thick stuff. The jacket needs to be thick so it can take the beating, not her skin. I have a jacket from FoxCreek and I will not ride without it.

Thin leather she likes and wears will protect her better than thick leather tied to your T-Bag with a bungee cord. Definitely let her pick what she wants. If you're near a store that sells high quality stuff, take her shopping there.

If your local HD store is anything like mine, it's staffed with ladies who know their stuff when it comes to the gear Harley sells. Let them do the talkin', you stay out of the way, and let her pick something she likes and will wear.

Steer her in the right direction but let her decide. Otherwise nobody's happy if mama ain't happy.

+3 on Fox Creek. My wife (5'2") and I both own some of their stuff. It's thick leather, but soft too. Not soft like the "stylin'" girly stuff that HD sells, but very soft for as thick as it is.

On my trip to Sturgis from PA,

We ended up gettting,

Coat, Chaps, Rain Coat & Pants, gloves for rain,

Denise has long hair so she got one of those leather things to put her hair in.

Also her but go sore so a gel pad on top of her seat.
