Well I'm 61, so you shouldn't care about my opinion, but who cares. I agree w/Paniolo when you do 3K miles in five days they won't be with you and if you really care about those opinions I'll trade you my Street Bob straight up so you can fit in.

I am 27 and just bought a 09 SG. The people that call you old have prob never got the chance to ride a bagger, or have never put any serious miles on a bike to appreciate a bagger. And about the "non" harley riders who cares what the say

tell em your a motorcyclists, not a wanna be biker and for them to put there money where there mouth is and set up a multiple 500 plus mile day. You'll not only be more comfortable at the end of the trip, you will have hauled some of there property.

I thought this over. IT IS an old man's bike, that's why they call you an old fart, geezer, whatever. So to help you out, I'm willing to give you $7,500 cash, and you can get yourself a brand new Sportster, and then you'll have a young person's bike. Just PM me. LoL

You think that's bad? I couldn't get a hooker on my scoot with a fist full of fifties. Chicks just don't dig the big boy bikes.

LOL. I have been reading this forum for a yr. now and learned a lot from it. But this one is good. I finally joined and had to comment. Last year I traded in my 2001 Suzuki Bandit1200S for a 2008 RKC and absolutely love it. My wife kept telling me I had to wait until I was 40 to get a "geezer" bike. But I couldn't wait any longer. I pulled the trigger when I was 37. I used to go everywhere at 90 mph. Now I enjoy the ride now more and have ridden to a lot of places the Bandit would have crippled me on. I get a lot of comments like "old man" and stuff but I still feel young on it. Funny thing:just the other day a "young" kid at a conv. store on a race replica took one look at my ride and said "SWEEET!"

Congrats on your choice of bike and color!!! I don't mind being called old(I AM 52!) As long as I don't feel old!!! I know a 21 year old bought a new Ultra ! Guess he's ready for a Hover round next!!!! As far as the SG...... The more I ride it, The more I like it!!! Enjoy your bike!!

Yep it's a geezer glide!
First thing I got was "Hey Harley's dont' have radios"
Response " Well, the good ones do!"
Second thing was, "Hey check out the old F**K!
Response, Wave as you go by them at a gas stop while they dig the bugs out of their teeth and rub the sore asses!
Yep, it's a geezer glide
