I bought my Electra Glide when I was 31 (had it for 4 years now). I decided I wanted one back when I was about 30 though. I could care less what anyone else thinks about my ride; they're just jealous!

I noticed the trend too around that time. I bought my Lowrider when I was 28, most of the guys I rode with had softtails or Dyna's. We all ended up migrating to some form of touring bike (quite a few Road Kings, and a few EG's and RG's now). All of us are in our 30's too.

While I miss my Lowrider at times (usually when I pop into a dealer and see one on the floor!), I wouldn't go back to it! (Maybe a 2nd bike one day, or 3rd bike after I get my Ducati....)

If it bothers you too much what people say, I'll take the bike from you and you can go get yourself a sporty...but then they would probably tell you your riding a girl bike!

Im 32 and does not see myself as being that old. I have been told that the bike with the batwing faring and the bike color (red hot sunglo) is pure old guy motorcycle.

Have I bought myself a senior citizen bike????? Have others heard the same about their street glide or other touring bike?
They all say that about touring models until they ride one and realize what the've been missing.

Definitely a senior citizen bike. Get rid of it as fast as you can. Here's what you should do -- put it on the first boat back the the USA, preferably one headed to the West Coast. I'll pick it up and and "store" it for you until you're 65. I'll do what I can to keep it loose for you, puttin' as many miles on it as I can while still enjoying my RKC.
