41 and love my Ultra Classic, lots of good advice above... But, if I really gave a dayum about what everyone else thought I'd go and buy the most blinged out poser bike I could afford. Then only drive it on Sundays or bike night logging less than 300 miles a year...
LOL! I hear that too, here in Norway! They are jus jealouse :-) Where in Sweden are you from?
First, no--- the SG is not an old man's bike, don't worry, you are still cool--- the Ultra is very much an old geezer bike--- stay away from those----
Second, maybe you two guys can settle an argument--- I say the Swedish bikini team is hotter, but my friend says the Norwegian bikini team is hotter-- so, which is it??
I just sold my custom Shovelhead and bought an Electra Glide. I miss the Shovel alot but it's nice to be able to walk after a long ride. F**k 'em, they'll be doing the same thing someday.
Why does other bikers both harley or other riders call me "old man", "senior citizen" or other old person related names just because I ride a street glide?
I was thinking about getting a Street Glide until we went to test ride bikes several times. I rode every bike several times. I always ended up liking the Utra best.
On the way to the dealer I told her "I can't believe I'm buying a Geezer Glide".
your bike is the one I wanted! That color etc...just couldnt see a $2000 hit going from a 07 SG. who cares what they think? should look @ everybody as fellow riders!
I joke about my Ultra being a Geezer Glide, but in the end the ones that make the most fuss about "Old Man's Bikes" are the A$$ holes that ride when the weather's fine, the trip is under 50 miles and their trying to impress someone. If I want to be comfy on my 3,300 mile Sturgis trip and Jam to ZZ-Top on the tunes, that's my business. If they want to try and keep up, then all they'll see is my tail light. Enjoy your ride and have fun, don't pay any attention to what the other half has to say.
