Default Bike broke down yesterday.

Well just like the title. I was on my way home from work and cruising down the road and the motor just cuts out. I got her pulled over into a parking lot and tried to restart her with no joy. Call my dealer and they couldn't come get the bike but they gave me the number to a motorcycle towing company and told me that they would reimburse me for the tow. They picked up the bike at my house today and found out that my ECM is fried. They are going to pull an ECM of a bike they have to see if thats the total problem so I can get back on the road. Hopefully nothing else is wrong but well find out tomorrow.

El Cajon H-D is a great dealer. Rode a few hundred miles to buy my second bike down there.

Good deal for your dealer willing to pull one out of a new bike. Most would just tell ya that they'd order you one......meaning, no riding!!

i would be worried that there is another underlying issue. ecms don't just typically 'go bad', though that isn't unheard of.

good luck
