Default Jiffy stand work with flat?

I just bought a Stop and Go flat repair kit. Had a slow leak in a tire on my work car, so I decided to try it out. Works great...but the sudden loss of air when inserting the tool makes me wonder if the jiffy stand will keep the bike (07 Ultra) upright if you have a rear wheel flat. The only experience with a rear flat I experience was in the middle of nowhere on a 1979 GL-1000. No way that "kick stand" would keep it upright.

I had 950 miles on my Ultra when I put a piece of steel through the rear tire. The jiffy stand held the bike up just fine over night and until I got the jack under it the next day. A rear flat is a good way to start learning your bike. As I do most of my own work.

I wouldn't think it would be hard to find out if it will or not. Start letting the air out of the back tire in stages. Then test the stability of the bike at each stage. I would have something you can stick under the Jiffy stand in case you thought it might tip over. Once you find the answer to your question then just pump the tire back up.

Had a flat on my 99 Eglide, stand held great until tow truck came as picked us up in the middle of BFE Alabama, dropped us off at dealer in Montgomery after they had closed so it sat on stand over night chained to the dealers big sign out front without problem. Next morning, met staff at dealers before opening time of 8:00 AM, rode out at 12:00 noon on the new 09 Ultra

If the surface your parked on is sloped so the jiffy stand won't hold the bike up, turn the bike around.

if you're worried about the jiffy stand holding up the bike when you have a flat, you can always roll your bike's tire, "the one with air" in it, up on a block of wood or whatever you can find nearby.
