Default Fairing Mounted Mirrors Yes or No?

Thinking of purchasing the fairing mounted mirrors for my 06 Ultra to clean up the look a little bit. Does anyone have good or bad coments from experience with these. I know you have to drill holes in the inner fairing to mount, but other than that are there any negatives to these?

Thanks, Bonzo

I've had mirrors on the fairing of my buell and the bar mounted sportster mirrors. I wasn't expecting a lot from the fairing mounted mirrors and figured the look would mean I would get a nice shot of my elbows in the mirrors. I have been pleasantly surprised by the mirrors. There is no vibration and I can see more than I expected. I would say go for it.

Can't beat the fairing mounts, work great and look sharp!

I like mine. No vibration and very sleek. You'll miss shining the chrome ones.

Personal preference really. I had one of the Street Glides with the improperly mounted mirrors on it that basically had me looking at my hands and arms. It was my first experience with these mirrors but it left a bad taste in my mouth even though I know they could be so much better if mounted properly. When the dealer did the warranty work to correct the problem, they agreed to give me an inner fairing that wasn't drilled yet so I could go either way. I now have chrome, stem-mounted mirrors that the MOCO came out with for '06 but I may switch back to the fairing mounted ones someday. Photo attached.

Love the ones on my Street Glide. Really cleans up the lines on the handlebars.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna pick up a pair at the Stealer tomorrow and install over the weekend.
