Default 6 speed transmission gear sets

Thinking my fall and winter project may be a 6 speed gear set in my 02 EGC.
My wrench just put an S&S 6 speed set into another guys bike and it seems to work well.

Besides S&S, HD Screaming Eagle, Baker (mucho bucks up here), any others to consider?

Looking for best value and decent quality.
The S&S is a few hundred dollars less than the SE gear set, about 2200 vs 2600 CDN.

I think most will admit that the Baker is the way to go. yes they are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Baker has been doing it right for quite some time.

I think the S.E. gear set lists for $1995.00. You need to get the new end cover for another $200.00. The install isn't too bad. You can probably get 20% off at Zanotti's or Chicago H.D. Been running one in one of my bikes for 4 years behind a pretty healthy 95" Twin Cam. Nothing against Baker, but the S.E. unit is trouble free and really high quality. Comes with new shifting mechanism and forged shift forks. There are Korean units available cheap. I would never run one but they are an option if your not fussy.

I put Ultima 6sp od in my 99 ultra behind a 95in cammed motor and love it. 65 and over drop in 6th and it just purrs I would definitly recomend it. No problems with 10 000mi so far Oh yea I do not babby my bikes there ridden hard. Less than $600 for parts and my time to install $20 bucks to borrow the tools from my indy
