On my 09 sg I run 25-30 in the shocks while riding solo. Not any less! I bump it to 40-45 while riding double. once in a while it can bottom on a harsh bump. Handles great. Better than my 06 fxst.

I did a 2000 mile ride from Arkansas to Atlanta to NY with 18 psi in my shcoks and it was downright painful to my neck when I'd hit a frost heave in the road. On my ride back down to Arkansas I reduced it to about 12 psi and the ride is decent now. I am 6' 190 lbs. I only ride solo.

Default street glide shocks

i have 07 street glide lost the wire under rear fender twice now running 50 psi still hiting some times will ultra clasic shocks do im 300lbs the bike should carry my fat *** wtf

He asked a good question that I didnt see an answer too.

If you upgrade to Progressive or Ohlins do you loose the mount that is built into the stock shock? My sissy bar hooks on to the shock and than clicks onto the docking bracket.

Anybody know?
