I'm in the process of doing this. rerouted the wiring and so so close to fitting. has anyone done this mod? need help with this one.

only problem i can see other than your wiring issue would bethe seat fitment the nose of the '07 seat might not line up with the '08 tank just one thing to think about

 

I'm swapping to the larger 6 gallon tank and 08 seat as well.

 

You'll probably need to cut the weldment off the frame for the engine stabilizer that is under the tank. You'll then need to weld a weldment onto the front and drill and tap the head to accept the engine stabilizer up front.

 

Thanks dawg, your right. I read this and ran out to the shop and sure enough it was resting on isolator. Will mod a new one for sure. thanks again.
