I just can't believe a 6" is gonna do it.

I have a 6" and 8" windshield, both with curved lip. I get turbulence with both. The 8" seems to be pushing the air over, or on my helmet. The turbulence gets worse at 70+ mph. With the 6" I get some turbulence on my glasses.
I've found that, if you have 6"-8" windshield, most of the air comes from the bottom of the fairing. This is what I did: When I ride, I place my hand, with my palm open and parallel to the ground, at chest level. I then move it from my chest toward the fairing at the same level. There is LOTS of air coming from the bottom. I have not tried any of the weird curve windshields but no windshield can stop the air coming from the bottom of the fairing.
Also, I experimented with lowering my head in relation to the 8" windshield and there was no change in the turbulence.
For me, the 8" windshield with curved lip is the best compromise. It is far below my line of sight and I do not even notice it.
