Default Is there a way to confirm HD chip level?

Just curious.......

Playing around with the PCIII, and of course it asks me if I have a stage 1 download. Well, six months ago, my dealer claimed to have given me a stage 1 download with the SE A/C.

Is there any way for me to be sure that I actually have this download?
Does the stage 1 download have any noticable differences that the stock flash wouldn't have?

I'm just being a weekend mechanic, and would like to know this.

Thanks

If you have a SE filter and your bike running fine; no decel pop or cold start problems. Then my guess would be they did what they said they did. I've never seen any machine you can hook it to and tell. You could have it dynoed and you can tell by the air/fuel ratios if its lean or not. If the flash was done it would not be lean; if it was not done it would be. But my #1 sugestion is if you distrust your dealer that much that you can't beleive what he tells you, then you need to find another dealer to service your bike. And don't play around with a pc3 if you don't know what you doing, Have the bike dynoed tuned by sombody who does.

I'd go by the filter. If it has the SE filter (a taller-about 2.5 inch filter vs. the stock with is a relatively flat filter-about 1 inch tall i think), I would do a download off the PowerComander website. Dyno's are great, but they are expensive.

I have the PCIII. I will have it dynoed. However, for the past 9 months, I have been on a map I downloaded from PC's site. I have some decel pop, but it is 10 times better than my flash download from the stealer. Our top dealer (#5 in the nation I think) said they couldn't gaurantee the dyno would prevent decel pop.

I will have it dynoed when the basement and finished and paid for and all ways to burn money are exhausted.

The PCIII should override any ecm downloads by harley anyway. The PCIII just needs to know if you have a high flow filter/breather assembly.

I believe the question being asked is if you can do something like toggle the ign key or push the odo reset button to get a display of whats on the ECU from your speedo led. I have the same question.
