Anyone else have a problem finding license plate trim that lines up with the mounting bracket holes? I can pull the bracket off and drill new holes but would rather not do that. Is there a place to buy the mounting brackets? This kinda pisses me off, I was told at the dealer that the HD trim will not fit Maryland tags and that I need this certain trim (that they ordered and I waited for). Now I get it home and the damn holes are way off!! Any experience with this would be appreciated.

well is ti the trim that is way off? why do you need a special trim? Is your plate standard size? measure the plate hole inside to inside and i will measure moine and we will see where it is at.

 

Maryland and three other states have a different size M/C plate.

 

Hey Thanks for the replies. What I had to do was remove the mounting plate and grind off about 3/8" across the top of the plate. My bench grinder did wonders, of course I was burning the hell outa my belly until i got smart and put a shirt on Also had to drill new bottom holes on the bracket. It was a learning experience.
