Default Where to get new tire?

I need to replace my rear tire on my 08 FLHTC, I have 15,000 miles on it. Where do you guys get your tires and do you replace with the same Dunlop 4200? Went to 2 different dealers one Quoted me $420 installed and the other $360. Seems high to me. I have priced them on line and it seems to be around $150 for the tire, is it that much for install? I have heard of people replacing with the elite 3, can this be done if I don't replace the front? My front is still fine.

Try and find a good independent shop. The one I use in Wheatridge Colorado just includes the tire mounting into the service. I pay $150 labor for mounting two tires and the 5k service. It pays to shop around

I just put the E3's on my bike . Got them from Dennis Kirk. Good prices.
Lots of places are expensive for a tire change. Do you know any INDY'S in your area. Could save a few $$.

I'm in SoCal and nothin's cheap here. My local shop / United Cycle charges $75 for
changing the rear including balance and disposal of your old tire whether you buy it
there or bring your own in. And, yes, you can run an E3 with your original front. IMHO

+1 on the indy... I actually found an indy that does sport bikes. They gave me the best price $30 labor and best price on tire. I ride an 08 Road King and yes I put a Dunlop back on. WWW don's allow many options.

I, too, get mine from Kirk - good prices, fast delivery and fresh - not 3-4 years old.

Dennis Kirk is hard to beat for Price No Question.. I just let my Indy order and install them might at the most cost me an extra $20.00 altogether but that way he stands behind them should anything go wrong with the Tire or the Install ... Which by the way has never happened yet... When have an Indy that good in a town this small you throw him a bone now and then to keep his kind of talent around .. 2 Elite 3's Tires, Original 402's taken off.. Remounted and Balanced $386.00.. You don't have to replace your front as well but I did because was a package deal .. and is the Front on the stock Dunlop 402's that was giving trouble with Tar Snakes and Grooves in the road so problem all solved..

I just purchased two Elite III's, MT90HB16 front & MU90HB16 rear from Jakewilson.com. I ordered them on Saturday and they arrived on Tuesday. With free shipping, a $10 discount for ordering more than one tire, the total was $210.98. They take PayPal also.

Jakewilson.com has the best price...$117.00 delivered for a EIII MH90B16 You can change the rear only...Don't fool with the front if it is still good...I am getting ready to change my 7th rear and i am on my 2nd front...tried 4 different rears and always have had D402 on the front. I wanted to buy from Ronayers.com because the actual store is only 30 minutes away and i buy a lot of stuff there but they can't even beat jakewilson.com and they are in UTah and i'm in NC.. My Indy shop charges me $25.00 to change the tire if i bring it to him. I take off and install my own wheel.
