Default Radio/Handlebar controls/Biketronics

My handlebar switches stopped working yesterday, both sides. The radio works fine with its own ***** but the bikes switches do nothing. I pulled the fairing and unplugged all the connectors, checked fuses and now am out of ideas. Is it possible the Biketronics plug in module has a problem? They are closed on the weekend so if anyone has had a simular problem and can point in another direction to check/test it would be welcomed. also the auto speed volume doesn't work volume can only be adjusted by the radio's ****. The bike is a 04FLHT Thanks.

There is a plug that runs from the controller to the back corner of the radio that runs the hand controls. I forgot to plug it in after painting my inner fairing. The controller has all the speaker wires and the hand controls are on a seperate plug. Good Luck.

I hope it all works out for you.... I have the biketronics set up on my bike. When the system arrived, I had problems with the bar controls, too. The red module was bad. The biketronics people did replace it free of charge, but it was a hassle. I don't think they believed I was having problems and they kept saying, "I've never seen this before." If I had it to do over again, I would probably just buy a nice stereo, install it and forget about the bar controls and that silly red module.

I have a biketronics system on my 02 EG, working on the second radio and had similar problems. Did you get caught in a heavy rain storm? My guess is the system got wet and needs to dry out. I think thats what mine did. My controls work but the radio controls dont work in the right order. Try the reset button on the radio face. Or the black wire incerted in the back of the radio, it is suppose to be pointing to 12 oclock. I pretty much use mine as a IPOD player and have had pretty good luck. They hate the rain though. Can go bad for a week or more until the dampness gets out.

Hats off to the Biketronics gang, after some troubleshooting with them on the phone it was determined the Biketronics module was the issue. They shipped one out for a 50.00 core charge. I installed the new module and everything works great. and the 50.00 was refunded after they received the old module. Thanks again Biketronics crew for standing behind your great product.
