EPA stamped perrformance exhaust?

If it is not stamped it is not approved. The law is specific. Sound approved and stamped are two different things

Epa
I may be wrong but in order to have the EPA stamp on the muffler it must be "tamper proof " The Bub 7's I have are tamper proof and the certification that comes with them states that, like to know if there is a stamp on the HD Fatshots.

the fat shotz are stamped. they are probably considered tamperproof, since to get at the discs there is one torx security bit. not really an issue since the drivers are widely available.

According to the 2010 SE catalog, the HD SE Nightstick and Fatshotz exhaust items are 50 state EPA stamped street legal.
I did read somewhere that the screws holding the discs on are tamper proof, but that they also sell a kit with longer screws, more discs, and the tool to remove the discs.

There is a bill going before the Maine Legislature in the next session that is trying to get an EPA stamped law passed.............this is going to suck!!
The a$$holes who ride like idiots are going to cost all of us the choice to change exhausts.
Our state motorcycle group is going to fight this law, but who knows what's going to happen. The group is pushing for more enforcement on getting motorcycles inspected, they say that will crack down on the straight pipes and loud exhausts.
Have to wait and see what happens next.............hopefully someone comes out with a 2-1 performance exhaust that is EPA stamped.
