Default Road Zeppelin seat

Just installed the Road Zeppelin seat, Nice seat now my windshield is to short. I have the 15 inch SSC Cbailey windshield. A;so I have a 34 inseam and I can be flat footed but I feel the need to reach, Just in case anyone was wondering about the clearance.

Thanks for the info. This is the seat I've decided to get -when I get the courage to buck up the $700+ for it that is.

I picked up a road zepp on ebay for half price, I can't tell it from a new one. I have a sheep skin on top of the rz. I am going to get a one inch taller screen to get out of the wind buffet I now get on the helmet. The zepp is wide and a bit taller but it is very comfy. I would not recommend a zepp if your inseam is less than 32 inches.

Update
600 miles in 2days 250 yesterday 350 today seat worked perfectly. No pressure points no cramping, could have gone another 100 or 200 if I had to without difficulty.

Does it put you more forward than the stock seat? I really need something to keep my tailbone pain from ending my ride, but I'm 6'1" and don't want to be cramped.

Does anybody know the difference between the older Zeppelin seats and the one released for 2008 Touring bikes (51072-09)? I don't get HD's applicability description either -- "Fits '08-later Touring and FLHTCUTG models. (Does not fit FLHTXXX.)" What the heck is a FLHTXXX?

The new 08 and above zepp only has 1 bladder for passenger (vice 2) and 2 bladders for the driver (vice 3). Plus it fits the newer touring bikes. I think they changed the compressor cause it airs up pretty fast. BTW it fits the 09 perfect.

I have one and I put 1000 miles on it in 2 days after riding the stock seat for about 4000 miles over the week prior. My **** was already hurting and I rode it just fine and could have kept going another 1000, but I was home... I like the seat for long haul, but it is like a sofa and sits you up some. Funny thing is though, I can air it up just right and I am able to move back more and get in the ride position I like easy enough, plus if I become uncofortable, I just readjust the bladders and change the position slightly. Its just the around town stuf that sucks with it.

I am on the fence to keep and mod it's pillion, the wife hates it btw, the seat allows her to slide fwd, or sell it.... if someone wants to offer...
