I just received the WheelDock chock and I could not be more pleased. It is everything they advertise it to be, and the service is exceptional. I ordered it on Monday and received it on Wednesday. Oklahoma to Mississippi

An added bonus -- The coating is much nicer than I expected.

Agreed, always leave your kick stand down when using this contraption.

I had one on my '08 and used it everyday in the garage.
However when I traded for an '09 I sold it and never bought another one. The only time I have ever dropped my bike was when I was trying to use it (enough said).

Warning:

Don't use it straddling the seat. Stand beside the bike and use your right foot on the push bar.

Don't park on an uphill incline when you are around other people, unless you want laughed at. Because the rear wheel will only spin and the damn bike is to heavy to push off going uphill.

Don't park on a down hill slope, or it will roll off the stand by itself.

Don't push on the back of the bike when it is sitting in your garage to put the Tour Pak on, or it will roll off the stand by itself.

Other than those situations, it's a nice product. If you use a flat level ground and don't touch the bike, you will love it.

For cleaning and screwing around with the tires I would recommend a jack (a Red Sears Jack is only $70).
But for a "saving space in the garage" it would work.

I have both the WheelDock and the centerstand. I agree with Da Butcher on the problem with the release. I also agree with RoadKingKamchi on the ground clearance on the 09 touring models. I have had to remove mine and have it for sale. I have been to their facility, met Rod, and I am very impressed with their products, their employees, the manufacturing process they use on these products, and the cleanliness of their shop. Rod is a great man who will do anything he can to insure customer satisfaction. I try to buy the best for my Harley and I believe Rod's products are the best. I also try to buy American made products. That's why I also bought the Pit Bull Bike Lift, another great product. So, I would strongly encourage you to buy a WheelDock. You won't be dissappointed. Yep I have one. I love it. I previously had the HD unit. Not good.
The Wheeldock centerstand is easy as pie to get your bike up on. And easy to roll off - IF you purchase the correct unit for your bike!

But it doesnt take the place of a lift.

Bought mine used from Clint55 on HDF and couldn't be happier with it. A smoking deal on a great product. I use it in the garage and sometimes when out, but it is a real space saver. I use a jack for cleaning though.

I have two Wheeldocks. One for my XBones and one for my Ultra that is mounted on my full service lift which is used as a daily parker. Also use them when trailering the bike somewhere. Very secure and lets you haul with minimum strapping down. When I wash the bikes, I take it outside and it holds the bike vertically for washing and cleaning. One of the best products around IMO.

I'll echo the comments made about the Wheeldoc centerstand. I love the convenience of it when parking in the garage, cleaning, and fueling the bike. Unfortunately, I also have to agree with RoadKingKamchi on the ground clearance issues. I think this is more of a problem with the 2009 - 2010 models than the previous versions. My centerstand is the only thing I've grounded yet. It's definitely unnerving when it happens. Fortunately, it hasn't been an issue in turns at speed but I've popped it pretty hard during slow maneuvering in and around rough parking lots and tight downhill turns that tend to compress the suspension.

In my case, the trade off is worth it (so far) but I can certainly understand RKK's decision to sell the centerstand. I'd probably make the same choice if the roads around here were as he describes.

Good luck & Ride Safe,
Steve R.
