Default passenger floorboards

Does anyone know what the weight limit is on the passenger floorboards? I figure there has to be an awful lot a stress placed on the one bolt holding the board on when getting on and off the bike.

I think I just found my answer. My neighbor was used as a test, 389 pounds and he bounced on the right side once and nothing happened except the tires and shocks deflecting. No one should worry about breakage due to weight. Much more than that and the bike would be overloaded. Just thought this may put some peoples mind at ease.

I know nothing about metal stress etc but I do know that those bolts will hold a lot because all the stressors are basically directly from above and I do know that they are strong in that set-up.
Glad you eased your mind. Enjoy!!

There's also a small dowel pin..and the bolt hole has a slight boss and shoulder machined in.. All of this combined serves to mitigate some of the loads that would be on the bolt if it were just a smooth face flush mount.

Yes, they are far stronger than one might imagine.
