I kept the tweeter mounted on the speaker itself. I had 2 make some 6 1/2 " spacers, with the section cut out for the tweeter mount.
I didn't know if it would stick out too far to get the batwing back on, but.................it worked out well !!
Which spacers did you use? I butchered a spacer from Loud Lids trying to get a PRO60SE to fit a few months ago (before I deployed). I usually learn from my mistakes the first time around. LOL Anyway, I ran out of time at home and gave up until I get back. Plus, I sold my 60's. I got my PRO50SE to fit by modifying the stock spacer, so I'm sure I can eventually get the 60's to work. BTW, can you snap a couple of pics next time you have your fairing off.
I just ordered the Biketronics BT480 amp and Titan XL 6.5" speakers for My 2000 RG. I hope it sounds as good as the guys at Biketronics say it will. Can't wait to see how this set up sounds, I've tried to do some research on it but there's not alot out there for it.
I stil think a set of Componets is the Answer? Can't believe more people haven't tried ti yet. Might have to stop by my local Audio guys and ask some ?'s. I have Jbl components in my Mini truck and they rock, Just put some 6.5 memphis Audios in my tahoe and they sound great also, to many choices not enough money.lol
