Actually looks pretty awesome to me. You thinking about using it for a rain suit?

I bought the Switch Back Jacket and have been riding with it for about 4 months now. I love it. It is definitely a high quality product. I bought it on sale at a dealer for half price, which is still a lot of money. If you like the jacket you're looking at, I say Go for it! You may want to check around to save on the price. Lakeshore Harley has a standard 20% discount if you can't find one on e-bay. http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/m...S&default=true

I like the Harley jackets, but just can't go those prices. I go through Allstate leathers, they make good quality jackets. I can always have a design sewed on.

I found most Harley clothes a very well made ,a little high priced .I usually find a dealer by me that has a sale. That does look like a good jacket. I like to try it on and check it in person though.

I have the exact same jacket. For cooler temps I use the Harley windstop liner fleece jacket. The combination of the two are great.

I did buy a rain suit but mostly use the pants as the jacket does a decent job. If it's gonna be a very long ride in the rain I will use the rain jacket so I can use the hood as well.

I was going to get the FXRG. While I feel the FXRG is better quality I was happy with the compromise of the Road Warrior and the windstop fleece jacket. Layering the two gives you more options.

This is why we have this forum, thanks guys
I have a rain suit already, so this will not be just for rain
However, I like the idea that it can handle the rain
I live in Florida and having leather seems overkill
Yes I plan on taking some trips up north, but not WAY north
This RW Jacket seems to cover mostly what I need and am looking for
I like the idea of adding the windstop fleece jacket added to this
Also the price does not seem over the top for a HD jacket
The dealers in the area run 20% + off delas on jackets and other items from time to time, so I will wait it out and shoor for a bargin

thanks again

$200 for a plastic jacket? That will have your sweat glands working like firehoses in the Florida heat?

I have the leather HD road warrior jacket and it has the vents on the front of the shoulder just like the jacket you are looking at. While riding my softail with ape hangers, those vents catch so much wind that it pulls the whole jacket up to the point that its cumbersome. Thats even with the vents zipped closed. With the vents zipped open, I'd look like the headless iron horsemen. I havent got a chance to wear it on my road king with beach bars but expect it to be much better. I tend to like my clothes with a little wiggle room in them and a size smaller may have stopped this from happening but with a figure like mine, tight clothes are not an option.
