Default New QQ Big City Thunder baffles installed

Hey guys for anyone interested in the Big City Thunder baffles, I put in the QQ baffles the quiet ones, in put them in the head pipe before it meets the muffler, install was a piece of cake. I was done in an hour. The sound is what I've always wanted out of my bike, a deep rumble nothing high pitched. What a bike should sound like.

I have them in my V&H dresser duals with supertrapp SE mufflers, and they do deepen the sound to a rumble. I think they are about $130.00 a pair.

$130. for the baffles and $10 for shipping. Gail who answers the phone and takes your order really knows her ****. She needs to know the inside diameter of the pipe with your muffler removed and what brand of head pipe is on the bike. For me it was the Road Burners which she said is the exact dimensions as the Reinharts. My sound originally was like a drag sound or a straight pipe, and even kind of high pitched. Now just deep like an old hot rod, and still loud enough.

I have a 2011 103" Street Glide that has Rinehart 4" slip-ons.

My Dyno guy said that the Rineharts are too 'free flowing', which causes loss of low end torque.

I was told to use Big City QQ baffles with the existing Rinehart baffles.

This allegedly will quiet down the Rineharts, while restoring low end torque.

Any truth to this?

Thanks

First I've heard of the Rinehart being critisized for being too wide open- they are known to make good power, and use a 2.25" baffle, which isn't too radical. The CFR's, or V&H Hi Outputs, those are often accused of being too open.

I had them in my V&H big shot duals and really liked them. They were still loud (that's just V&H), but the QQ baffles deepened the sound and took the harshness away. I miss those pipes sometimes...

I think you may be misunderstanding my original post.

My Dyno guy said that the BCT baffles, when used with the stock Rinehart baffles, would improve low end torque.

Were you using the BCT baffles with the Rinehart baffles, or in place of the Rinehart baffles?

Thanks

I like how they tone the exhaust down. I might have a set laying around (I need to look) for V&H Big Shot Duels.
