Default '08 FLHTCUSE Acceleration Problem

All - Posting from the Middle East - I have an 08 FLHTCU with the 113 SE upgrade, and it's very recently decided to turn into a dog when I accelerate hard (which I do not do real often).

It runs fine at low and moderate acceleration rates, but when I really open the throttle, starts to starve of either fuel or air.

I'm looking for suggestions please - even the obvious ones. I do not have a lot of confidence the local mechanics will adequately diagnose / correct the problem(s). Thanks.

It's because its a batwing... No seriously, it sounds like your mapping is way off. I had some holds in mine originally but not as bad as you described. I would guess that a good tuner should be able to tune it out. Worst case you can buy a boxed map which will get it closer than where you are now.

Could it be bad injectors? I don't know much about that but I would assume if it isn't getting enuf fuel it won't run good. What does your pipes look like? Color? Smell while running etc...
