You missed the whole point...It's when you are out in the boonies that his creation shines....You simply clip the hose on to the valve stem, and then you have a simple and fully accessable place to attach any regular or portable compressor air hose no matter how it is designed....Oh, and you boonie survivalist types can use it to attach your CO2 bottle inflaters also.

Guess what else? you can also use it to easily inject fix-a-flat.

The guy has a winner.

The MoCo will start putting angled valve stems on rims right after they put angled grease fittings in the steering tube for the head bearings......

Damn, I just take off my right saddlebag, put it in the grass or have the lady hold it while I do my thing. Takes 30 seconds...ok maybe a minute.

where i think it shines is when you go to check the pressure in the rear tire and you find that the valve stem is tuck up way up high where you can't get to it and you have to move the bike to do it. with this, you can reach up there, clip it on, check the pressure, fill if necessary, all without having to move the bike an inch.

you may say that that isn't a big deal, but if you have a tight garage like mine, not moving the bike is a definite plus.

The front wheel is the hardest, with the straight valve stem; at least the rear one is angled out slightly. Agree that popping the saddlebag off is the only way to go when checking the rear tire.

Some members do not know that this problem ONLY exists on the rims of 09 and later touring bikes. I bought the tire inflater that HD sells and it worked fine on my 07 ultra but WILL NOT WORK on MY 2010!!!!! Thanks to the original poster for sound information.

But you increase the chances of it developing a leak or worse, a hole.
