Default Smoked Lenses need Colored Bulb?

After putting-on four smoked/shaded turn signal lenses, I realized I didn't like the pure white flashing light as a turn signal.

Do you guys put an orange bulb in when you switch-out the orange lenses to smoked?

I don't recall this bugging me on my SG...but maybe the overall cool-factor was my only concern then...dunno.

Just think that with the Road King, and the big light show going-on up front, that white turn signals wold be lost to oncoming traffic.

I know it's a small thing (um, this question of course)...but wondered what someone else does in this case.

Put smoked lenses all the way around on my SG. Swapped out to orange bulbs for the t/s and red for the brake.

I thought turn signals HAD to be amber. When I bought my smoked covers they came with amber bulbs.

Yea...I was wondering about that too. I bought my lenses from Walter's Workshop for $8 each...no bulbs. Yeah, I think I'll just go grab the amber and red bulbs.

Bright enough coming through those smoke lenses??

When I swapped out my stock lenses on my '06 'Lectra Glide to smoke lenses, I went with amber LED's in the front and red LED's in the rear. I went red in the rear coz I did the turn/brake set up with the directionals.

Seeeee....THAT'S why I put a disclaimer in a "dumb question" like this. Sheesh...getting old apologizing for asking something that seems basic. Oh well...sorry?
