Default Chrome Inner Primary (not a cover)

anyone know what the dealer will charge to install the genuine part (not the cover), incluidng the cost of the part?

I'm not a 'wrench', but can change oil, etc... how tuff a job to replace the inner primary with the chrome one myself?

I thought about doing the same to mine. Doesn't sound too terrible difficult.

'A LOT' ??

I had mine installed when having service to repair a leaking shaft seal / thing-a-call-it. So it was a lot less money since it was off already. It's not a job I would feel comfortable with, not to mention I don't have the tools required.

Well $250.00 is a few chunks of change, and you can put a lot of other parts on the bike for that kind of coin, so only you can decide.

I can tell you that it makes a huge difference in the looks. Even if another rider doesn't like too much chrome, most still think it looks terrific.

I also had a bad shifter shaft seal, and at the time the Dealer was running a "special" for a chrome inner primary, installed for $550 i believe. I didn't feel like spending the extra money at the time, so i just stuck with my existing inner.

My chrome inner primary looks better than a cover. I had it done when I was having some other work done and the piece was about 250.00 and my install was about 200.00 but it looks good and you can't take the money with u so u may as well spend it now!!!

I just looked at my bill for the labor to fix the leak and install my Inner Primary for less than 220.00, plus parts.
