Default Lower seat for the Ultra

I've been a faithful reader/researcher of forum topics on about everything there is, including seats, yet I still can't find the DEFINITIVE answer for a replacement seat for my 08 Ultra.

I'm 5'8" with an approximate 30" inseam, and I've already installed the HD lowering shocks on the rear, which has dropped me about an inch. Dropping the front is not an option. A "Reach" seat is not an option either (moves me too far forward).

I need a seat that accepts the rider backrest, has approximately the same comfort level for driver AND passenger, but drops me an additional 1/2 to 1", without breaking the bank.

Suggestions?

Default Lowering Ultra

+1 on Allen at Mean City, good prices, fast turn around and an entire menu of what he can do on the website. I also agree on the reach seat, I had one for a while and it had a tedency to squash the privates at times.

Have a look at a seat from a RoadGlide, Passenger is a touch different but rider is lower, got one on my 07 EGC and like it lots.

I just spoke to Brent at Mean City..
I have an 06' Ultra. I am 5'6" and have a 30" inseam. I have the low profile shocks on the back already...I am just about footing the bike...I talk to Brent at MCC and I told him the my riding position (forward and back) is fine...I just want to sit lower. He talked to me and I decided to make an appointment. I am sending him the seat by the 26th of Aug which is my appointment date.....they will do the work then and ship it out the same day....so I won't miss out on the weekend riding......

He is also installing the high greade memory foam.....I will report back after I get the seat!

Based on my ride on a buddy's 07 with a Mustang seat, I felt like I was sitting more "in" the bike than I do on my 09. It still accepts a backrest as well.
