08 FLHX and replaced my rear tire at 16K. almost all miles were solo, although a 6K trip with gear for 2 weeks in first 10K. many factors come into play, body weight ( I'm 170), type of roads (straight or curved), cement, blacktop or other. I've been on some roads that fealt like they'd eat up tires they were so ruff.

Average 8-9000 on rear...
I am very good at maintaining proper pressure, how i accelerate, etc, etc,
How the hell you guys get 15+ out of those tires I'll never know
Here is a slight high-jack thread question related.
I am guessing the the D402 weight rating vs, D3 is no big deal because I see alot of you already "switched".

9k on the 402 rear and it needs to be changed. New E3 ($107 w/free ship at DK) sitting in garage waiting for one of those round tuits to get-r-done. Does not surprise me as i am an aggressive driver. Dealer wanted $300 for another crap 402. Not going to help his 401k so i'm just going to get off my lazy can and do it myself.
