Default Looking for Input on new seat choices?

hi, I have been shopping around for awhile for a new seat for my 07 S/g, Just a FyI, I'm 5'9 175 lbs, I have had 4 Back surgeries with one coming up, I had Mean city cycles do there thing on the seat, I liked the way the shaved it so I can sit flat footed, But The cushion and the passenger seat leaves a lot to be didired, so Here I am, Can't afford to buy 3-4 seats, I know its alot of personal prefrerence so I'm just looking for Ideas, I have had the Sundowner recomended and the Ultimate seat, I'm looking for something with cush and support for me and my gal. I have the harley adjustable back rest also. Thanks ahead for the time, And sorry about the long post. Todd

Just rode my Sundowner out to Sturgis and back, 2150 miles. Worked great. I have had two back surgeries.

I rode out with IzzoQuazzo - I have a Mustang Regal Touring.

2900 miles in a week, and not one minute of sore butt at all. I had a sundowner on my last bike and it was good, but I like the Mustang better. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Check out Corbin. I'm on my second. Liked both, but got this one with flames and the extra padding has made a difference. Leather on seat breaths. An all day rider.

I too have the Sundowner Deep Bucket, but I sent it off to MCC and they did the double decker for my passenger and did the rider extra comfort with the shaved low for me, It could be a tad more cusion but then I would not be as low. I think it will be the same with any seat. the lower you go,the less cusion, get more cusion get lifted higher. It is a bit of a toss up. But the wife and I did a 3,100mi trip up to the BRP and the Dragon from TX and we both stayed pretty comfortable.JMHO

Another plug for the Mustang Regal Touring seat, and add the rider backrest to support your lower back. Top quality items.
