I bought my SSS from Zanotti's for far less that it would've cost from the factory (~$215 IIRC), and it had one fob in the kit. I also bought a second used fob on Ebay ($19 shipped) and the Radio Shack siren for $6. Since I didn't have the electronics manual at the time I let the dealer install the SSS and marry the fobs, but I installed the RS siren myself. They charged me their shop minimum (½-hour), which at the time was $37.50. I thought that was reasonable. I think I was out maybe $260 or so whereas a SSS + HD siren from the factory is a $500+ option, or at least that's how my dealer prices them on new bikes. BTW the $6 RS siren is still working fine and is plenty loud.
I already have security but no siren/alarm. How did you attach the RS siren??
Just wanted to add more information on the install of the security system along with marrying the fobs. Found this to be very helpful. The table above advises to perform all steps under 3.3 TSM/TSSM Vehicle Delivery. Found a PDF of 3.1 through to 3.13 TSM/TSSM Vehicle Delivery http://www.harley-davidson-sweden.se...ring/fe03a.pdf .
OK trying to wing this install without any instructions. Fallowed the steps but my security light wont go out after the first 10 minutes. Anyone know why? what am I doing wrong?
Thanks
This is the problem I am having. Ive spent 3 hours today trying it over & over again.
