I used the saddlemen road sofa seat and was very happy with it. We did a 4500 mile round trip to sturgis and back. A friend of mine used a great cheap alternative on a stock road king classic seat. Stopped at wally world and picked up a hemroid donut from the pharmacy for under 5 bucks. Easy air adjustment when needed. I will carry one in my tool kit for the next long road trip.

if you think your classic has a seat that's uncomfortable, try a streetglide seat. yeow, they are total nut crunchers. they, like the windshield both look sweet on the showroom floor, and that's about it. i ended up finding an 09 roadglide seat, a take off, and i found it for cheap in the classifieds section. the wrong seat can sure end up ruining an otherwise great trip. hope you get it all figured out.

Oh and just to add something substantive to the conversation, another cheap item that will greatly improve seat comfort are the wooden bead seat covers like beadrider.com sells. Or you can go even cheaper and cut down a car one from walmart like I did. The best $8.50 I ever spent on a bike.

I agree that with a rider backrest in place, there is no room on the passenger pillion for anyone but a child. Seems like relocating the tourpak is the only thing that will give the passenger any room.

I have a detachable tourpak for my RG and take my backrest off the bike if I have a passenger. I rarely have a passenger so it's not a big deal for me, but it would be a big deal if my significant other liked to ride.
