2009 street glide clutch

Did you adjust the cable or did you go behind the derby cover and adjust the clutch pull rod? The adjust for the clutch pull rod is 1/2 to 1 turn of back off. If you stay closer to the 1/2 it will help this. Also with your low miles as the clutch wears a little it will have more air gap in the clutch pack. Also a synthetic oil helps the clutch to work smoother.

just to clarify, with all my other bikes i have had i started them in neutral. if i start this one in neutral and try to put it into gear within the first 5 minutes of it running there is a big clunk. i dont like when it does that so i have been starting it in gear holding the clutch in for about a minute, and then it goes in and out of gear pretty normally. i just dont understand why it does that. i currently own a 2003 fxst and it never did that-, and i adjust the clutch the same way.
