Default Rinehart quiet baffles.

Got a set of td's on my 05 FLHT.. I'm a musician by trade, and my hearing, which is my livelihood is going south. Between tose pipes and having to blast the radio over top of them, it's wearing me down. I'm not ready to go with a stock set up. I still want some sound, just maybe a little less. Anyone have these quiet baffles Rinehart makes? They're not cheap.

Default I put them on my 06 FLHX

I put Quiet Baffles on my 06 FLHX and I did not like the sound.
Did not sound like a HARLEY anymore, too high of a sound.
But it was somewhat quieter.

I finally bought a pair of RUSH HS4 series slipons that fit the 2"
Rinehart header pipes with 2" baffles and it is much better. You can go
down to a 1.5 baffle to make it even quieter

You'd be money ahead to get a set of fitted Big Ear ear plugs with speakers and use an IPOD.

I did exactly the same as WilleC with my 08. Had the Rinehart TD's - Tried the quiet baffles and they didn't seem to do much for me. Ended up with the Rush because they were one of the only options that would work with the 2 inch headpipes. See and hear-em at:

rushracingproducts.com

The other great thing about Rush is that you can get them, along with the great customer service, from Fuel Moto. There are 5 different baffle options plus a bunch of tip options. I also beleive you can get custom baffles from Fuel Moto.

Don't waste your money on the Rinehart quiet baffles. I put them in my 06 and it made no difference on the highway and little to none at idle.

Same here.. didn't like the sound. I did wrap my standard baffles with some high density fiberglass and that has dropped them a few db's and lowered the pitch. Only problem is that the fiberglass will burn thru after a few thousand miles so ya gotta keep on it.
